On November 13, 2012, the Town Board received the following presentation from the Open Space and Affordable Housing Committee, recommending the adoption of a section of the Zoning Law to promote Workforce Housing through mandating construction of affordable units or payment of a fee in lieu of mandatory construction to be put into a fund to purchase or construct affordable housing.  Comments are welcome.

THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR THE HUDSON RIVER AT POUGHKEEPSIE. *
FROM 8 PM MON UNTIL TUES MORNING. * AT 1 PM MON THE STAGE WAS 5.2 FEET.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 5.0 FEET. * MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING & RECORD
FLOODING IS FORECAST. *  THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE AROUND 4 PM. HOWEVER DUE TO TIDAL INFLUENCES THE RIVER LEVEL WILL RISE BACK TO FLOOD STAGE AROUND 8 PM THIS EVENING.THEN CONTINUE TO RISE TO 8.3 FEET
