Announcements

“Open Book” for homeowners to review property assessments in the Assessor’s Office is today 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, May 13th 12 noon-4, May 15th 8 – 12 noon and May 17th 8 – 12 noon.

May 19th, at 5:00 pm Special Town Board meeting to open and award basketball court re-surfacing.

May 24th Town pool opens (weekends only until school is out June 27 and then daily).

The Town of Rhinebeck is pleased to announce that Alyson Peluso
has been hired as our new Recreation Director.
Alyson had previously been our Head Lifeguard for many years.
Katie Clark will be returning to our Summer Recreation Program as Camp Director.
Ellen Litton will be our new Pool Director.

  • Saturday, April 26, 2008, 9am-12pm
  • Friday, May 9, 2008, from 4pm-7pm
  • Saturday, May 10, 2008, from 9am-12pm

2008 Open Book and Grievance Information

OPEN BOOK

This is when the Assessors are available to meet with property owners about concerns and questions regarding the assessment of their properties. The assessment roll books will also be available for the public to view during these hours.

Town Transfer Station Accepts New Containers, Batteries

LDPE #4, PP#5 (i.e.: yogurt, cottage cheese and some take-out containers) and OTHER #7
Please discard the cap or lid in the garbage and rinse the container before putting it in the collection bin.
NOTE: #4, #5, and #7 are now collected in addition to the previously collected PETE #1 and HDPE #2 plastics.

BATTERIES
(Dry cell, non-reactive)
AA, AAA, C, D, 9-volt, NiCad/NiMH, Li, CR
Please bring these to the TS/RF Office for proper collection and disposal.
Cell Phone Batteries are collected at Rhinebeck High School and at Williams Home Centers.
